MEECO Technologies Inc. successfully completed the installation of four new rooftop HVAC units for an LCBO location in Markham, Ontario, in collaboration with Choice Properties REIT. This project involved extensive coordination, detailed planning, and precise execution to ensure the new systems were installed efficiently while minimizing disruption to the facility’s daily operations.
The Scope of Work
The scope of work included the delivery, placement, and installation of four rooftop units, along with the necessary mechanical and electrical connections required to integrate the systems into the building’s existing infrastructure. Our team worked closely with all stakeholders throughout the project to maintain scheduling accuracy, site organization, and seamless communication from start to finish. Our Approach And Solution
The $4 million project was successfully completed in two separate phases with both phases coming in on schedule and the overall costs coming in under budget. Emergency repairs to the facility were completed on December 11th, 2014 which allowed for the facility to operate through the critical winter months. Permanent electrical repairs along with less critical site deficiencies were completed in April and May of 2016 when a longer facility shut-down could be tolerated. In order to meet the required schedule, TransGas delegated procurement and construction management services to WSP.
