About Project
One of MEECO Technologies Inc.’s recent projects involved the successful replacement of a Lennox rooftop unit (RTU) at a commercial facility in Mississauga, Ontario.
This project required careful planning, coordination, and execution to ensure minimal disruption to the client’s operations while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and safety.
Our team worked diligently throughout every phase of the project, from the safe removal of the existing rooftop unit to the installation and commissioning of the new system.
Our Challenges
Due to the complexity of rooftop HVAC replacements, special attention was given to site preparation, crane coordination, equipment handling, and system integration.
The MEECO Technologies Inc. crew demonstrated professionalism, technical expertise, and strong teamwork to complete the installation efficiently and on schedule.
Safety remained a top priority throughout the project. All work was carried out in strict compliance with applicable safety regulations, industry standards, and site-specific safety procedures.
Our technicians followed all required protocols to ensure a safe working environment for both workers and building occupants.
Through careful attention to detail and a commitment to quality, the new Lennox RTU was installed successfully, providing the client with improved reliability, energy efficiency, and long-term performance.

Our Approach And Solution
The $4 million project was successfully completed in two separate phases with both phases coming in on schedule and the overall costs coming in under budget. Emergency repairs to the facility were completed on December 11th, 2014 which allowed for the facility to operate through the critical winter months. Permanent electrical repairs along with less critical site deficiencies were completed in April and May of 2016 when a longer facility shut-down could be tolerated. In order to meet the required schedule, TransGas delegated procurement and construction management services to WSP.
