MEECO Technologies Inc. successfully completed the replacement of eight rooftop HVAC units (RTUs) at a commercial facility in Leamington, Ontario.
This large-scale mechanical project involved the removal of existing rooftop equipment and the installation of new high-efficiency units designed to improve the building’s heating, cooling, and overall energy performance.
The Scope of Work
Due to the scope of the project, careful planning and coordination were essential to ensure the work was completed safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to the facility’s operations. Our team managed every phase of the project, including crane coordination, rooftop access, equipment placement, and system integration.

Our Approach And Solution
The $4 million project was successfully completed in two separate phases with both phases coming in on schedule and the overall costs coming in under budget. Emergency repairs to the facility were completed on December 11th, 2014 which allowed for the facility to operate through the critical winter months. Permanent electrical repairs along with less critical site deficiencies were completed in April and May of 2016 when a longer facility shut-down could be tolerated. In order to meet the required schedule, TransGas delegated procurement and construction management services to WSP.
